During my short two months I feel as if I have gained a lot and I have the staff at the studio to thank for that. My responsibilities were wide and varied but there is always something to do if you have the will to look for it. I found what struck me the most when I first came to the studio was the sense of community that is fostered among its staff and its members. I then began to learn about all the work that goes into the running of the studio where fundraising is a constant battle. Also how to improve myself as a printmaker through various workshops the studio runs. Now as my time at the studio nears its end I find that I have learned much to improve myself as an artist in my stay at the Firestation.
