Jackie Gorring: A'dale and Away

I was very excited to see Jackie's exhibition - I had seen a couple of her works, and some photographs but to see them in "real life" was an eye opener. Her images, imaginatively using empty biscuit boxes and other kitchen detritus and old polystyrene fruit boxes as plates, printed without a press using nontraditional printing media such as oil pastel and paint, were strangely compelling. I loved Stop it Chloe, and Annie O. She depicts her neighbours, and the minutiae of her local environment with detached interest. Jackie also gave a workshop, but I will blog about that later!
