All Materials Provided but we will have lino cutting sets available for purchase if you would like your own set.
Linocut is one of the most direct forms of printmaking.
It is simple to learn and has the potential to produce
works of great subtlety and complexity.
ParticiLinocutpants will create prints using black & white.
Participants will work with press and hand printing to
demonstrate the versatility of the medium,
its immediacy and portability.
Working from your own ideas, students will experiment
with image, tone and mark-making to explore the
visual possibilities of linocut printmaking.
Each method is introduced by considering its
technical possibilities and health and safety considerations.
This course is an excellent choice for beginners or
those who need a refresher in the area of linocut printmaking.
Outcomes
Students will gain an understanding of techniques
introduced and develop practical skills in order to create
and print their own linocuts.
