Mokuhanga, is the Japanese woodcut printmaking technique.
Prints are typically hand-printed in water-based ink on Japanese "washi" paper.
About
Kay Watanabe is a Brisbane-based Japanese visual aritist, mainly in the field of printmaking. She has diversified into painting, drawing, photography, cyanotype, small sculpture and artist books.
She extensively exhibits her works both in real and virtual shows in Australia and internationally and has received numerous awards. She is passionate about spreading the joy of printmaking and sharing her skills at workshops for children, schools, community groups and other organisations.
