Basil Hall’s Collagraph Workshop is suitable for artists at any stage of their career. Previous printmaking experience is useful, but not compulsory. We will make beautiful colour prints from inexpensive cardboard plates. Two fun days of cutting, gouging, peeling, varnishing, sanding, collaging, inking and rolling!

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Basil Hall is based in Canberra and has been running workshops and teaching since he graduated in Printmaking from the ANU in 1986. He has worked as a university lecturer and has been the Director of printmaking workshops in Canberra and Darwin. In 1995 he received a Churchill Fellowship to travel & study at printmaking studios in Europe and USA.

He has worked extensively in aboriginal communities for 30 years and has editioned prints for hundreds of artists. By arrangement, he works regularly with groups of 4-5 in his studio. By invitation, he teaches Australia-wide. By inclination, he takes artists to his shared studio on Skopelos Island in Greece.
