Second Impressions
FPS Collaboration with The Makers Studio Artists create an edition of two. One remains in its original state, the second is added to by the allocated collabortive printmaker from the interstate studio. Second Impressions (Stage 1) June 4th to July 18th, 2020 15 printmakers from the Firestation Print Studio, VIC, and 15 printmakers from The Makers Studio, NSW, have created a print that is indicative of their practice, with two prints in the edition. Edition 1 by all 30 printmakers stays in its initial state, image unchanged. While edition 2 is sent to a corresponding interstate printmaker for them to add to the artwork. These initial prints will be exhibited here at FPS Gallery from June 4th to July 18th. Then in August, (for Stage 2), we will launch the collaborative edition 2 works and observe how these initial images have evolved through this collaborative process.
