Collage - and assemblage of different materials
resulting in a new artistic whole.
This introduction is for anyone who loves collage,
beginners to practicing artists. In the morning
Sande has devised a series of exercises,
exploring different ideas, materials and methods
of collage.
In the afternoon, participants will spend more
time on one or two of their own collage artworks
with composition, colour, and texture all considered.
Materials to bring: scissors, your own paper collage
material, apron, closed shoes, an open mind
and sense of humour.
We will provide A4 paper/ some collage papers
and glue
Sande is an abstract artist who uses collage
as a medium in itself .She combines it with
her painting, printmaking and more recently
textile pieces. She has a Masters in printmaking
and has run art groups in Sydney for many
years, in Aged Care and at Echo Neighbourhood
Centre. Some of the places her printmaking is
represented are ArtBank, Print Council of
Australia, Tasmanian Museum and Gallery.
